Introduced by Sen. Karen Keiser, (D-Kent) (D) on January 14, 2011, to revise health care insurance provisions. The bill provides for comprehensive changes in health care insurance coverage and benefits, including mandatory coverage for persons under nineteen, and prohibition of exclusions for pre-existing conditions. It also eliminates lifetime benefit maximums, and requires insurers to cover emergency care without prior authorization.
