Introduced by Rep. Mike Hope, (R-Lake Stevens) (R) on January 21, 2011, creates a business and occupation tax credit for property and leasehold excise taxes paid for business willing to occupy buildings that have been vacant for twelve or more months. The tax credit may be carried over for one year applicable to the following year, but may not be carried over for a second year. This act takes effect immediately and expires on June 30, 2013.
