Introduced in the House on January 18, 2011, allows electrical companies to file a petition with the Public Utilities Commission to make a determination regarding the prudence of an investment in a plant or other property that will supply electricity from sources other than fossil fuels, increase efficiency, or reduce the fossil fuel used in producing electricity making that investment. This act provides procedural and content-based guidelines for the filling and review of the petition.
