Jeanne Kohl-Welles, (D-Seattle) (D) on January 26, 2009, seeks to increase hunting safety by requiring that a hunter under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a Washington licensed hunter who has held a hunting license for the prior three years and is over the age of 18 when hunting for wild birds and animals. The accompanying adult hunter must stay within a visual and hearing range.
