Introduced by Rep. Jeff Morris, (D-Mt. Vernon) (D) on February 16, 2009, increases the income thresholds for senior citizens and people retired by physical disability who are exempt from property taxes. For combined household incomes of forty-thousand or less, no excess property taxes shall be levied; for incomes over thirty thousand, but less than thirty-five thousand, an exemption is made from all regular property taxes on either fifty percent of the property value or on fifty thousand dollars, whichever is greater. Other thresholds and exemptions apply.
