It is sad that this bill, like the one last year, never made it out of committee. I guess there’s always next year. I hope that Representative Herrera and the others will sponsor this important issue again. This site will allow us to have our collective voices heard.

I would hope those appointed to govern at the will of the people will support this bill that protects or Second Amendment rights to bear arms in a lawful manner regardless of the state of emergency. Washington State should be become the New Orleans of the Northwest.

We shouldn’t need to have a bill like this, but in these days, with all the anti gunners around, I guess we do, so I’m for it, as I’m totally pro 2nd amendment, as well as pro US Constitution!

this bill will protect us from what happened in Louisiana after Katrina hit. I remember watching on television, national guard members going door to door consficating leagally owned guns from people who were just sitting at home protecting their property. If we have a big earthquake here in Washington I don’t want them coming for my guns, leaving me defenseless to looters.

It’s important that law-abiding citizens are not denied their constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The lawfully armed private citizen will be law enforcement’s best ally should we experience such an emergency.
