Dear Representative,
I’ve worked around the ferry system for 25 years. In fact I belong to a union, but not one that takes advantage of the tax payer at every turn. When it comes to putting together a plan for emergency service for example it’s usually a labor union who drive up costs, drag their feet or demand totally unreasonable conditions and extra pay. This usually ends up costing the tax payers a huge sum one way or the other. Not all the unions are untrustworthy but there is one ferry union that is. You would NOT want someone from that union on your board.
